Lakes

Here are the lake pictures that I said I would post about a month ago. Sorry it has taken so long, life has been just a little crazy around here lately. We had a wonderful time at the lakes with Tyler's family. It was a very relaxing week. Blake did really good the whole week and loved being in the water. After a while he got tired of it but over all he liked it. He has changed SO much since my last post!! He is now pushing anything he can around the house walking behind it. He can stand by himself for about 5 seconds without hanging on to anything. He will be 8 months next Tuesday. He climbs on everything he can. He still likes to blow bubbles but is also learning different voices he can make. His most recent discovery is the word "Bob". :) We hear about "Bob" all day long. Right now he is actually pulling on the computer cord saying "Bob Bob Bob". He is quite goofy :) He also has 1 tooth!!! :) We first noticed it on July 3rd. He went in for a well baby checkup the beginning of July. He was 19 pounds 10 ounces and 29 inches long. Our doctor said he is doing great and is way ahead of most babies his age. She was actually comparing her 9 month list to him and said he has accomplished most of those goals aready. So he is advanced :) He liks to pull all of his toys out of his toy box and all the books off the shelf. It makes a mess of our living room but it keeps him entertained.

In other news....we are moving!!! So that's why our life has been a little crazy :) In 2 weeks from today we will be living in Wolcott. It was 3 weeks ago tomorrow that Tyler and I first talked about it. We both had been feeling that God was calling us to a smaller church. So after some praying, talking and reading we decided that it was what we were supposed to do. So, Tyler will be helping out on our family farm full time and I am going to be working at Homestead Buttery and Bakery (where I worked before we were married) and also helping on the farm. Both Tyler and I's last day of work in Bluffton is the 27th and we move on the 30th. We have been very busy filling boxes these last couple of weeks! Almost every corner of our house is stacked with boxes. At this point we are still not exactly sure where we will live in Wolcott but we are in the process of figuring that out.

Now on to the pictures :)

We got Blake his very own fishing pole, it came with a plastic fish and as you can see he loved fishing with Daddy!!

Blake's first ear of sweet corn! Since then he has had an ear every time we eat it.

Meet Sir Shorts A lot! He is the newest member to our family. This is Tyler's buck from last season that he just got mounted last week. He did it himself and it turned out great! The pens are still in him because he is in the drying process.

Daddy and Blake in Crooked Lake

We went boating one day on vacation and as you can see Tyler enjoys it!

Daddy and Blake going putt putt golfing.

And just to make you laugh today :)

6 Month Pictures

These past several weeks have been very busy! I was a VBS teacher and was in charge of the 4th grade craft. We made checkerboards. It was a very busy 2 weeks but it went really good! Then after VBS was over we went to the lakes for a week with Tyler's family for vacation. We got back on Saturday morning in time for Tyler to make it to work. Now we are trying to get back to normal. I will upload some pictures from vacation some other day. These are a few of the 6 month pictures I got of Blake while we were at the lakes. I can't get the ones at the end to switch directions so you may have to just move your head :) sorry! leave a comment of which is your favorite :)

Everywhere and Everything

Blake sure likes to use his new crawling skills to get into everything! And he goes everywhere! The bathroom seems to be his most favorite spot to go. If we don't keep the door shut you can probably find him in there playing with the rug or tangled up in the shower curtain. When the door is not shut and we see him crawling to the bathroom we shut it and sometimes that results in an unhappy crying Blake. But he is a lot more content now that he can get places on his own. He is keeping us busy and is a lot of fun to play with.

He is starting to pull himself up on things.
His favorite spot....the bathroom!

Playing with daddy's shoes. He really likes doing this, he sat in this spot and switched from shoe to shoe for probably 45 minutes. Daddy had some pretty soggy shoe strings when he was done! :)

On the move to somewhere else!

His first pond experience!! The water was really cold so he cried the first time we stuck his feet in but the more his feet were in, the more he liked it. He started splashing water with his hands by the time we were done. But we did not stay in to long since the water was really cold. Hopefully there will be more pond time this summer when the water is warm!

Have a wonderful week!!

Changing

Our little boy is changing everyday! He is now crawling and sitting up on his own. He is also has a lot of fun blowing bubbles. He makes Tyler and I laugh all the time with his goofy faces and his actions. He still loves his Jumparoo and is in it several times a day. He can get moving pretty fast in that thing which makes him very fun to watch. He is eating baby food several times a day now and will eat almost anything we give him. He went in for his 6 month checkup on Tuesday even though is isn't quite 5 1/2 months. He was 26 1/2 inches long and weighed 17 pounds 5.5 ounces. Dr. Jencks said his ears were a little pink so he is on Amoxicillin for 10 days. Even though he may be a little sick he is still very happy and smiles all the time!
Playing with Molly the monkey.
Cuddling with Molly while Tyler and I fried chicken for supper tonight. And we did not put her there, he did :)
One of his goofy faces he makes.
My 2 most favorite people on this Earth! I also think they are the 2 cutest! :)

Have a good weekend!!

Goofy Boy

Blake is now 5 months old and he is turning into quite the goofy child :)  He smiles almost every time we look at him which is a lot of fun! He is never laying where we put him, he rolls and scoots around all the time! It is fun when he sees something across the room that he wants because he will roll/scoot until he is there. It is quite entertaining to :)

He was so tired one night that he used his 7430 for a pillow :)

Sacked out in his swing.

His newest smile :)

Playing with his sock today while I gathered eggs.

Right after his 3 hour nap! And no I did not make a typo, he really did take a 3 hour nap today :)

His new way to sit in his swing.

Which then turns into this :)

Have a great weekend!!

Busy Busy Busy

Sorry for not updating last week! I worked Monday through Saturday and I normally only work Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So I was just a little bit busier last week than usual :) And Blake keeps getting a little bit more fun each day I think. He chews and drools on everything!! And he is almost crawling! He had his 4 month check up on Friday. He weighs 16 pounds, 6 ounces and is 25 inches long. He is growing very fast! :) Here is just a few pictures from the last week!

Diesel watching Blake as I clean out Tyler's Ford to sell.
Blake got to drive Daddy's work truck one day when he stopped to say hi on a feed delivery.
Blake loves Sugar! It will be exciting when Sugar has her kittens this spring!
Our very smiley little boy!

Meet Harry! Harry has become Blake's favorite toy! Harry goes everywhere with us. Sometimes we think Harry gets more smiles out of Blake than we do! Thank you Great Grandpa and Grandma Furrer for Harry!
Harry catches lots and lots of drool  :)

Have a wonderful Easter!
